Before we set off on our backpacking adventure, we began our trip as a big group, visiting incredible sites like Monistat Monastery, the Costa Brava cliff sides, and the Balearic Sea.
With so much to do, see and try in this Spanish city, make sure to get a tour of the Gaudi architecture and a Tapas tastings tour to properly try all the local cuisine.... And we know just the tour guide to help you out!
Athens is a city with 2,400+ years of history, and amazing Greek food (we have some details you need though before ordering that Gyro)! However, there's also a major infrastructure and drug problem that you should be aware of before you travel. With the budget-travel route we're taking, we got to see a side of Athens that many tourists don't get to see unless just driving through. We'll tell you what you need to know before booking your stay in the city and what areas we'd recommend you stay in.
Many people know the islands of Santorini, Mykonos, and Crete, but few know of Milos, and even fewer have traveled there. With an ATV we explored the island, the beaches it offered, and the colorful seaside fishing towns. Ordering the Octopus is a must, but if you travel you'll have to visit our 'must try' restaurant. Also, we have some tips that you should know before hitting the beach in Greece... Hint- pack the water shoes! Why this may not be the best 'beach vacation' and more for those looking to simply get away.
Only an hour ferry ride from the bustling city of Athens, Aegina is usually a day trip for those visiting the mainland, but we decided to stay for a few days and we'd recommend you do the same! Introduced to the island with a traditional meal of locally caught fish, Greek music with dancing, and free shots of Orzo (we're not a fan, but you might be if you like black licorice!), this is exactly what you think of when you imagine the family like Greek atmosphere. Known for the locally grown pistachios, making the best baklava you've ever had, you're going to want to see the whole island! We'll tell you exactly what we recommend.
Oh, Roma... You have our hearts!
We fell in love with the city of Rome and wished we could have stayed even longer... even though we were there for NINE DAYS!
We'll tell you where we stayed on a budget, and while it might not necessarily be where we'd recommend, we would 100% recommend the area. Bustling nightlife, great restaurants, and plenty of entertainment (especially for people-watchers like ourselves!), in a more traditional Roman neighborhood, Trastevere is full of hidden gems you'll want to explore.
Cheers to an amazing time at Oktoberfest! If a trip to Europe in the fall is in your plans, then a stop at the world-renowned Oktoberfest celebration is a must. Full of good times and good people, we detail what you need to know before making your trip to the most well-known beer festival in the world.
Following Oktoberfest, we made a trip to the city of Frankfurt! Filled with high rises and amazing views, we loved this big city.
With dozens of museums, countless amazing eateries, and every type of entertainment possibility, your day is bound to be packed to the brim when visiting the canal city of Amsterdam.

We found all 3 of the peeing statues and so can you! The story of Manneken Pis may even surprise you, and finding Zinneke may be hard but we have the directions for you . While you're out and about don't forget to try a waffle... and skip on all the founding and go for 1 plain, trust us when we say that caramelizing pearl sugar will be more than enough.
This surprisingly budget friendly city has endless things to offer you!

Paris is a beautiful city known for love and romance, a reputation we'd have to agree with. However, beauty doesn't come without a price. Full of crime and rats, one has to stay alert in the City of Love. Click the link below to read more about our time in Paris and the stops we'd recommend you make. And don't forget a trip over to the lovely Palace of Versailles, it's worth a trip to walk the grounds and see how the royals lived.

While quick, our day trip in Switzerland was worth the eight hours of train rides. Placed near the base of the Swiss Alps, Bern was a high-class city that would have provided beautiful views of the mountains, had it not been for the fog while we were there. Bern is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with many things to see, from medieval architecture, to a bear pit on the river. A bit pricey for those on a budget, but still worth a trip through, if not for the chocolate alone!
